N.I.C.E. Not Interested in Caring enough

Leadership

Not Interested in Caring Enough. That's what NICE stands for.

You know, I read so many articles on Savvy, Facebook, Twitter (links) and LinkedIn: sometimes a quick scan sometimes in depth. I'm sure we all do the same.

One thing that really stands out is the shallowness of the comments and often, the shallowness of the articles. I'm passionate about thought leadership, which by some sort of loose definition means surely that your thoughts are original. Or at least an improvement on the original.

Humans have advanced by improving on the thinking proceeding them with occasional blasts of unbelievable original thinking, seemingly out of the blue (but perhaps not always).

If, you feel like you need to get involved in communicating with other people across the Internet using "Social Media" then have a go at thinking for yourself. It's quite an experience and one that should be encouraged.

I try and consider a few things when I respond to articles or write articles:

How does this effect me?
What's my take on this? (and it's not, "good article, I agree, thanks"). Think depth.
What's the opposite view? - it's often quite constructive. What can I say that will make people really think about what the writer has written?

There is so much consensus, repetitiveness and wishy-washy agreement out there one has to wonder  if anyone can think for themselves anymore.

So, I'm not NICE.

I'll challenge your to demonstrate the facts behind your thoughts.
I'll try and see the weak points of your thoughts.
I'll praise your fresh insights.

I care enough to challenge you to improve, in all aspects of your life.

And I hope you would do the same for me.

I am a co-owner of a cleaning business in Melbourne. As an individual I am focussed on the positive impact businesses can have on lives and engage, encourage and support other like-minded individuals to develop their inner entrepreneur and realise their value.s Your business is how you express yourself in the world. You had better do it ethically and responsibly, and with a social conscience. My goal is to show small business owners globally how to turbocharge their business by doing just that.
