Previously called the Pilates Studio New Farm, ex-dancers Andrew and Melinda Leitch established the studio in 2003, earning a reputation for teaching high quality, pure Pilates. In 2007, physiotherapist Susan Cottrell purchased the business, and enhanced our services to offer a powerful combination of traditional physiotherapy and Pilates, with cutting-edge equipment.
I love The Body Refinery's Reformer classes. I started in Sarah Lindemann's Beginner class which was the perfect introduction and really made me feel comfortable moving into the Express Reformer classes. All the instructors are really friendly and knowledgeable. They make you feel welcome and look after you in class, making sure you're doing the exercises properly. The classes are always different so it never gets boring or repetitive. I can't recommend them enough. Just a word of warning: These classes may be addictive!
New to the area, I have joined The Body Refinery through their '$200 Unlimited intro offer' last month. This offer allowed me to try a lot of their services and I loved it! Every Pilates instructor that I have encountered is friendly and really take time to correct and explain the movements. Last week, I had a remedial massage with Tamara and it was amazing. I have now signed up for a membership with unlimited Fitness classes. If like me you don’t like crowded classes and busy gyms, I definitely recommend you to try The Body Refinery!
Without doubt the best Pilates studio I have been to. The staff are so welcoming and amazing at what they do. Phenomenal Barre and reformer classes at convenient times!
I went to the Body Refinery for a physio treatment and was looked after by Agnieszka. She was amazing, highly recommend her, very personable, professional and caring. The Body Refinery itself has an awesome vibe and everyone is always really welcoming and friendly. I won’t be going anywhere else for my physio treatments in the future.
The Physio’s at The Body Refinery are fantastic. I saw Luiseach for Physio after injuring my shoulder. She was honestly the best Physio I’ve been to. Her knowledge, manual and injury rehab skills were incredible and got me back on a speedy recovery to return to my sport. I also really enjoyed the clinical Pilates side of injury rehab and continue to practice pilates now to complement my sport.
