We are trying to streamline and make more efficient various process in our company. An area where we spend a lot of time and do a lot of work is in customer service. Reaching out to customers and prospective customers to talk to them about their business issues. Our Director of Sales noted that on some days, the majority of time could be spent making calls and leaving messages, but not actually talking to people. When we do finally get through, it can have taken weeks or months, just because people are very busy. Once talking people love to talk about their issues and moving forward from that initial conversation is easy. But hooking up, even with our current customers, just takes time. Lots of time. So we figured that there must be a more effective, less expensive way to get those meetings set-up. Very senior sales staff are wasted on the to and fro of calls, messages, returning calls over and over. We did some research into choosing a local sales appointment setting service provider. The Lead Generation Company Pty Ltd (LGCo) stood out immediately for a couple of reasons. Firstly, they were easy to find. Great search profile. A good sign,they know their stuff. Second, they listened to us well. One of the topics we train on is Customer Focus - so we notice quickly suppliers who do not listen well. We got a proposal from them and several other suppliers. Hopefully by the time you read this and get your own proposal we will have trained them in better proposals. Let's just say after it was translated it did make sense. Eventually. ;-) We discussed and agreed some targets, negotiated terms and pressed the GO button. Database refresh, some letters mailed, calls began... Now this was in the notorious Xmas dead-zone where no-one answers the phone unless it's a party invite. Just 10 weeks later we were solidly on track to booking the number of meetings to hit our joint target. Impressive. And their ability to again really listen well to our feedback and refine for the next round was very good. Thank you Sarah. Now, in February, we've just resigned to extend the pilot for at least another 3 months.
