If a parcel goes missing in the post who is responsible - the business or the customer?

I have a parcel posted over a week ago and it still has not reached its destination. I track it everyday, but the tracking shows no results since I posted it. I feel responsible - but am I?

Unless you are sending with a courier with service guarantee and tracking mechanism, the responsibility remains with the sender. Australia Post don't take responsibily for lost regular postage.
