Please review my business/website

Hi All,

I am new to this forum and thought I would say hello and ask anyone who has a spare minute or is in the market for a new appliance to review and provide some feedback for my website preezie.com.au

I figure we are all here for the same reasons, so let's bounce of each other and help one another grow into something great.

If anyone would like the same for their business please let me know.

my insights

  • you have Iframes on the web pages, this mean that content in an Iframe cannot be indexed.
  • Your page has 2 redirects. Redirects introduce additional delays before the page can be loaded. Read more https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights...
  • Minify JavaScript - Compacting JavaScript code can save many bytes of data and speed up downloading, parsing, and execution time.

  • Your page has 6 blocking script resources and 3 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.

I think it looks professional and clean.

Took me sometime to work out what the website as about.

Originally I thought it was somewhere to purchase items that are designed to be presents (gifts).

Thanks Melanie for the review. I believe there is another website with the similar name that actually does what you said, sells gift items. I will add your feedback to our list, we will have to ensure people understand what the site is about as fast as possible, but that can be hard because the site in reality maybe offers to much functionality. Really interesting feedback, Thanks again heaps for the review.

Overall, I'd say that the site has a very clean look about it. I'm also glad to see that it is responsive to multiple device sizes. I think the categories are grouped logically as well.

However, when looking at the site on a smaller screen or view port, the footer seems very large (as in causing a lot of scrolling). Is there a way to maybe condense it on smaller screens?

Also, the filter section when viewing actual products on full screen (desktop) was attention grabbing, however, it didn't translate as well for me on the minimized screen. Could you make the filter controls more compact on tablets and mobiles? The less scrolling I have to do on a mobile or tablet the better (especially when setting filters). If I can't see all the filters at one time I may not remember my previous selections. The other possibility is that I only see a few filters and assume those are my only filter options (without scrolling down to see the others).

If you'd like more detail or discussion let me know. I'm a user interface designer / user experience designer by day. Cheers.

Hi Jef,

That's great feedback. Thanks for taking the time out to have a look and providing the feedback.

I am basically generating a list of feedback issues/ comments so i get a better idea of what the people of AU/ the users like/ don't like.

I will talk with the dev guys about this and when we come up with a solution i will let you know and possibly you can have a look. :)

Thanks again for feedback, i really appreciate it
