What is the best way to back up my Google docs?
Yesterday I found that one of my Google docs had somehow lost some updates I made a few days earlier. I am now looking at ways to back up my Google Drive folders. Have you tried different ways to backup your Google docs? We don't have a lot of documents but like any business, they are important to us and need them for future reference. Thank you.
Is it possible that they were edited by someone else who has access?
We use Google Docs but also have another drive where documents are stored as Word docs, do you have the drive installed on your computer or do you use the cloud version?
Good question. It could have been modified by somebody else but I don't know for sure. Thanks for your suggestion. I only use the cloud version to edit online. I found this Spanning backup which looks like a good solution to automatically backup Google docs.
That looks useful, you can also install Google drive onto your computer and set the sync settings to manual. This will allow you to back up your docs.
Sorry for my late entry here, but there is an excellent Cloud-2-Cloud backup product for Google Apps called Backupify (www.backupify.com). It backs up all your files on Google Drive, Emails, Contacts, Calendars and Sites.
