Good question!

When you're getting a quote for a billboard, companies typically give you rates based on a four-week period rather than daily because it's standard practice to keep billboard advertisements up for four-week increments.

Even so, I'll provide standard rates for a four-week period and the cost per day by dividing rates for four weeks by 28 (the number of days in a four-week period).

Billboard Format

Four-Week Rate

Daily Rate

Junior Poster (Small)

$300 - $750

$10.70 - $26.80

Poster (Medium)

$750 - $2,000

$26.80 - $71.40

Digital/ Video/ LED (Large)

$3,500 - $25,000

$125.00 - $893.00

Supersite/Spectacular (Large)

$1,500 - $30,000

$53.60 - $1071.43

Landmark (Wallscape)

$10,000 - $50,000

$357.14 - $1,785.71

It's essential to keep in mind that you would also have to pay a production fee for the vinyl fabricated for your ad.

Additional production cost for a vinyl billboard depends on format and construction but will usually cost you between $300 to $1000.

Another expense to keep in mind is the artwork cost! You might have an in-house designer or an artist you're comfortable working with; if not, billboard companies typically offer design services as well. According to Billboards Australia, their standard charge for billboard artwork is $300.

I hope I was able to help answer your question. :)
