I also connect to others who I think would be interested, and keep in touch with them on LinkedIn through some Pulse articles, comments on their articles (important), and messaging when having an important event, campaign, or free ebook.
I write a lot of freebies for marketing purposes, this then gets hooked up to an automated email system. The form & free offer can also generate phone calls if you collect the phone number and give a decent reason to give up that number, e.g. growing your business 25%.
