Where do you get the leads for your business?

I was chatting with a friend yesterday about lead gen for her business and we both had some good ideas. So I thought it might be a great idea to share some ideas here for me it is networking both online and Face to Face that is the main source of my work but latley I have tried with some success

Oneflare you can post and apply for jobs and they send you alerts

http://www.mateofmine.com is a new site I found yesterday where you can apply for jobs

SkillPages I have used to find some contractors I am yet to apply for a job yet but it does look good.

Where are you finding leads for your business?

At SavyvSME our leads come from organic search and social sites like linked-in, twitter, facebook and forums like flying solo. We concentrate a lot on social sources and online sources :)

For B2B businesses they've had a lot of success in events, networking functions, word of mouth and online networking sites like ours and linked-in.

Would love to hear everyone else's tips :)

Excellent question, Linda. Wendy has a good point that success in B2B lead generation combines online and offline channels but with respect to online, I don't see enough sites out that caters effectively to B2B, so results can vary a lot.

Hey Linda, Personally, now I have around 25 different techniques to get leads. Some of them include Linkedin, Facebook, website, opt in, print ads, networking, cold calling, referrals, etc.. After trying out many techniques in last 18 months I have discovered that the best way is to have good healthy mix of your favorite techniques that you you can only find out by trial and error. Mix will totally depend on your preferences so I tend to believe that no mix is the same for everyone, similar yes. Cheers
