Do you have experience with affiliate programs for SaaS?
Do you have any experience with affiliate marketing for SaaS Businesses? Would you go with a middleman, or roll on your own? Recurring or one-off commissions? If rolling your own, can you give any advice on methods for global distribution of payments?
Hey Mircea - gonna put a disclaimer on this before I start. I work for an affiliate tracking software (but have also worked at affiliate networks, and at an affiliate website).
At my company we have our own affiliate program. We do recurring commission for up to 6 months consecutively, and this is what many SAAS companies do. It depends on your pricing and profit margins as to how you do it.
Rolling on your own can be very time consuming especially with payments and allocating commissions. Many companies use PayPal for payments.
